The Mystical Universe – Experience It – Part Three

July 18, 2012

(Disclaimer – this isn’t for everyone. Un-Belief can stop the flow. If you have no desire to experience the marvelous natural bodily energy within you, come back next week. We’ll talk about something else. Peace!)

Howdy Y’all

I’m so glad you came. We’re on part three of The Mystic Universe – Experience It. Here’s Part One and Part Two

You may want to go back and check them out. It doesn’t take long, promise.

On to part three. I hope I don’t loose any of you here because this is where it gets exciting. Freaky but exciting.

Let’s jump right into playing with the energy we’ve felt the last two days. If you haven’t felt anything, don’t fret. Keep trying if you want. If you don’t believe or embrace this, that’s OK too. If you want to feel the energy but can’t, I can help. Email me personally or post down below and I’ll tell you more you can try.

Hold your hands out in front of you, very relaxed and just shake them. Shake all your fingers. Place one palm next to the other palm, give them a little pressure. Press them together tightly but don’t strain yourself and start rubbing your hands together like you’re warming them up. Do this about a minute and stop. Now, shake them like you did before, shake them to your sides. Great! Now, flatten your hands out with your fingers together but loosely and bring them palm towards palm together but NOT touching. Hold them about an inch and a half from each other, not touching. Just hold it. Feel a sensation. Feel it more. Now, slowly pull your hands apart a little. Let the sensation grow. Separate your fingers ever so slightly relaxing them. Pull them apart a little more and now start to cup your hands and start imagining a ball of energy. Move your hands like your forming a clay ball slowly moving your hands out as the ball grows. Further apart and allow the ball to become two balls and as your separate your hands you have a ball of energy in each hand. Now, bring each hand up to your jaw bone right near your ear, 3 or 4 inches away. I like to bring them down slightly and move them slowly around and feel the energy in my jaw as it relaxes. Keep your lips together but your teeth apart. You can hold it here for a while or move it around to the back of your neck and give yourself an energetic neck massage.

Now, what the heck is going on here? If you have experienced what I hope you have you have enjoyed the spectacular energy your body has to offer. If you haven’t, you may not have the belief for it yet, or you may need some more persuasion.

There are many, many mysterious things in this wonderfully created Universe. Vibrational energy and being able to experience are just the tip of the iceberg. I hope you have enjoyed the energy and keep coming back here. I also hope you are intrigued enough to want to know more about this awesome Universe.

I believe some types of Energy Healing are beneficial for emergency situations and are particularly good for long term stress relief. If we experience post Rule of Law or other wide spread disastrous times, some Energy Healing technique may be life saving.

The Mystical Universe – Experience It – Part Two

July 17, 2012

(Disclaimer – this isn’t for everyone. Belief can stop the flow. If you have no desire to experience the marvelous natural bodily energy within you, come back next week. We’ll talk about something else. Peace!)

I hope you read part one on the Blog yesterday. If not, here’s the Link.

Today I would like to introduce you to a little vibrational goodness. Our bodies are vibrational too. And I’m not talking about when you’re cold and get the shivers. I’m talking about atoms and molecule and a whole wealth of vibrational particles in your body. I believe that’s the way God designed us. Everything physical is energy to some point. How you believe is fine, that’s the paradigm I choose to embrace. So, let’s get into some fun stuff, shall we.

This is an experiential thing, so once you read it, try it, you may like it.

OK, hold your hands out in front of you, very relaxed and just shake them. Shake all your fingers, let them move at the wrists and then put them together. Place one palm next to the other palm, give them a little pressure. Press them together tightly but don’t strain yourself and start rubbing your hands together like you’re warming them up. Done right, you probably are warming them up. Do this about a minute and stop. Now, shake them like you did before, shake, shake, shake… Great! Now, flatten your hands out with your fingers together but loosely and bring them palm towards palm together but NOT touching. Hold them about an inch and a half from each other, not touching. Just hold it. Do you start to feel a sensation? (If not, skip to the end or try again from the beginning, most feel something) If so, try to feel it more. If you feel it, very slowly pull your hands apart a little. Does the sensation grow? If so, pull them apart a little more and now start to cup your hands some. Move your hands slowly like your forming a clay ball. Now, just imagine the energy sensation is a ball and hold it. Enjoy the energy.

If you didn’t feel anything, don’t feel bad. Most do but some don’t. It’s OK.
The sensation many get is a tingly energy feeling and grows as they embrace the reality of it. This is your own body’s energy flowing through you all the time.

Let me know how it went.

So, what’s this got to do with Prepping? Stick around and we’ll bring it all together.
But for a start, being able to feel and use energy is great for stress relief. Here’s a link to read an introduction to Reiki, an energy healing technique, Reiki: An Introduction

Tomorrow, we’ll play a little more with the energy but it may get a little freaky for some. It’ll be fun, come on back.

The Mystical Universe – Experience It – Part One

July 16, 2012

(Disclaimer – this isn’t for everyone. Un-belief can stop the flow. If you have no desire to experience the marvelous natural bodily energy within you, come back next week. We’ll talk about something else. Peace!)

Let’s talk about vibrations. No, I’m not talking about the sound kind or the earthquake kind, I’m talking about the mystical movement of everything. Yes, everything is moving. Scientists have been studying about neutrinos. They are real mysterious things that are so tiny and flying so fast that you probably have some traveling through your body right now. Seriously, cool stuff. Read more here on Wikipedia and even more here, for some recent news at the New York Times.

The vibrations I want to talk about are the sensations you feel when someone walks into a room. The good, the bad, the yuck feeling when someone comes into a room or the feeling the whole room just lit up when someone arrives. Those are vibrational sensations our society just doesn’t acknowledge very much, but they are real, you’ve probably felt them yourself. There is a whole world out there that we can’t see, touch, taste, smell or hear, well many of us. I believe more and more people are working on relearning the ability to feel and sense many of those things. I also believe most children can sense more when they are born but quickly get it trained out of them.

So, what you talking about Brother Jim? I’m talking about another sense that can be re-developed to sense things without seeing them and the like. For instance, military folks trained in stealth and night movements are so in tune with things they can sense someone around a corner or hiding on the other side of a tree. Are these extrasensory arts or are they highly tuned perceptions? I’m talking about a mother knowing something has happened to a child 500 miles away and sensitive enough to call and find out. I’m talking about you knowing someone is walking up behind you. Not now, don’t turn around… ha ha. It’s not that mystical really, just a knowing that we know. Do you have a strange feeling when someone is looking over your shoulder?

So, how do we develop this extra sense thing? Well, now, here we go. First you have to believe it’s there. Next you have to practice. Those highly tuned and trained military personnel practice a lot. Their lives may depend on it. Vince Lombardi said, “Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.” Practice can be particularly hard in our technology driven society so I suggest some quiet time. I know it’s hard to find for some so let me suggest maybe getting away from the city a bit. Perhaps find a State or National park. If it’s safe, take a walk and leave all your digital devices behind. Lock them up though. Find a bench or a rock and sit for a spell, just listening and sensing the world around you. If you meditate, do a little of that. Breath deep and listen for silence. I can be amazing really.

There are other ways to embrace your extra senses and re-discover some of the gifts we’ve denied over the years. Most of all I just want you to embrace the possibility they exist and you’ve been missing out by not embracing them in your life.

Trust your instincts more. Try to hear what your intuition may be telling you. Be conscious of your precise intent in whatever you are doing.

So, what’s this got to do with Prepping? Stick around and we’ll bring it all together. But for a start, being able to feel and use energy is great for stress relief. Here’s a link to our Government’s site on Complementary and Alternative Medicines; NCCAM . While I don’t agree with everything they publish there, it’s a great resource for introducing people to Alternative Healing Techniques.

It’s an exciting world we live it and we’re just experiencing a tiny fraction of it. Perhaps you want to change that a little, or a lot. If you want to jump ahead of the class, check out this video to experience a charge to your energy system;

Stay tuned to the Blog here and let’s have some fun.
Tomorrow we’ll dig a little deeper.

Blessings to Ya!

The Cracked Pot – and Great Things Coming!

July 13, 2012

I know that’s a strange title for Preppers who think the End of the World as We Know It could happen any day. But, I want to share what’s ahead for the Blog if the Grid stays up.

Happy Friday 13th y’all. I’m not superstitious (thank you spell checker) but I don’t walk under ladders. It’s just not smart. Something could fall on your head, be dropped, or the ladder could fall. Anyway, a fellow worker who is kind of a pessimist said his glass was half empty and I thought of a great story to share, The Cracked Pot. It’s not original and you can find it a thousand places but it’s here to Bless You today.

But first, let me tell you what’s coming. Next week is The Mystical Universe. I’ll share a little taste of the Universe I’ve come to know as a mystical and magical place. It’s an audience participation week. Come on back and check it out. Then the next week, I hope to be able to start a regular routine of Blog Posts encouraging folks and blessing you body, mind and spirit.

The Cracked Pot Story

A water bearer in India had two large pots, one hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house.  The cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you.”

Why?” asked the bearer.

“What are you ashamed of?”

“I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house.

Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, “As we return to the master’s house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.”

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side?

That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them.

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.”

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We’re all cracked pots.

But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You’ve just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there.
_ _ _ _ _

There is a lot of good in us!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life!
Thank you to the cracked pots in my life. You have made life more interesting and beautiful.

Blessings to you All,

Getting Started Prepping

July 12, 2012

Well, you take some wood, heat some water, steam the wood and you bend it. Once you bend it enough it will come full circle and you have a wheel. Ha ha! I don’t want to re-invent the wheel here. There is so much great information already on the internet for your learning and reference.

Let me recommend a couple of places to you.

Here’s a Quick Start guide for Preppers;

My Friend Chris Ray has some wonderful pages prepared for you. You could long hours here and not see it all. A Great Resource;

Something you must know is the Rule of Threes;

YouTube has a lot of Preppers doing some awesome things. I’ll recommend a few here but have probably a hundred on my subscription list. Check these out;

TheLowBuckPrepper –
LowBuck also has good stuff, a lot of insight and down to earth information.
That is his new channel, here’s his older one;
Check it out too.

John here tells you so much about growing your greens;

This is a great site with some simply good stuff. It’s great seeing young people learning and knowing this stuff;

The Patriot Nurse is very informative and she shares a lot of necessary stuff;

I spend a lot of time here, even though it’s not directly prepping it sorta is, and, well, it’s Dave Cantebury, he’s not going to steer you wrong;

The are so many on YouTube, search around. I’m sure you’ll find someone you can associate with.

I started taking FEMA courses. They have some great training online. The Independent Study Program has some great courses to take and learn a lot. Check them out here;

Well, I hope this is a starting place for you. There is wealth of information out there. I also recommend you join some Forums but you may want to get some basic knowledge first. Some of the forum folks have been doing this a while and can be brutally honest.

And many more…

Get to know why you want to Prepare, why you need to Prepare and be confident in your direction. Don’t let fear or overwhelm get to you. If it does any at all, it proves your human, but learn ways to compensate and alleviate the fear. That’s part of Prepping too.

Blessings to ya! If I can help, let me know.

Spoiled People

July 11, 2012

Who is spoiled? Me? You? The Whole United States?

(Caution, some hard topics ahead)

All the above if we compare ourselves much of the rest of the world. I haven’t had the opportunity to visit any third world countries but I know of their living conditions and support many folks that travel or minister in some way to those without the technological advances that we enjoy. Many people of the world don’t have enough clean water to drink. Nearly, if not over, a million people on this planet die each year of malaria. Three to five million people suffer from cholera every year and typically 120 thousand or more of those won’t survive. Do you realized that 39% of the people in this world have dirt floors in their homes and no electricity or running water?

Who are we as Americans to think that we are above others because we have nicer things? Who are we to believe we deserve all this stuff? Who are we to think that just because we have it so good that it will always be this good?

Who are we, just because our political experiment has made it this far, to think that we deserve to have it all good and not struggle like many do around this planet? Who are we to think that because we have religious freedom it will always be that way? Who are we to believe that just because our Founding Father warned us over and over again about how delicate freedom is versus tyranny that we don’t have to stand up for our rights? Who are we to think we won’t reap what we sow when we kill 1.2 million unborn children every year? Who are we to actually believe that the television, radio and paper news outlets, owned by some of the wealthiest people in the world, are really telling us everything new?

Just Asking?

No Fear! Be Blessed!

(I’ll be nicer tomorrow. Promise!)

Solar Cookers

July 10, 2012

One of the things I believe everyone should own is a solar cooker. I have several and have plans to own several others. There is a great organization that I support and purchase from called Solar Cookers International. They have been very instrumental in helping thousands of people all over the globe to better their living conditions and help improve their quality of life.

I started out buying their Cookit for a whole $25.00

I was so impressed I had to know more. The more I saw what they did with these Cookits and other products the more I like them. I have since purchased the AquaPak, more Cookits, a seperate Water Pasteurization Indicator or WAPI, and a couple of things that aren’t currently on their web site.

These WAPI’s are great. Disease-causing organisms in water are killed by exposure to heat in the pasteurization process. Water heated to 65°C (149°F) for a short period of time is free from microbes, including E. coli, Rotaviruses, Giardia and the Hepatitis A virus. The Solar Cookers International new and improved WAPI contains a heat specific soy wax that helps you determine when water has reached pasteurization temperatures. It has a tough stainless steel cable and brass end caps that are designed to withstand high heat which means they won’t melt when used over an open flame. This feature makes the WAPI especially valuable when used over an open fire, like camping or in situations where solar cooking is not an option. It’s a very cool device and face it, if it comes to where we are having to pasteurize all of our water, it could come in handy.

Check out Solar Cookers International, you could be glad you did someday.

This is another way to Prepare.

Yeah, I still wear a watch!

July 9, 2012

Yeah, I still wear a watch. I know, call me old fashioned. But, wait a minute. Let’s talk about time in a post SitX (Situation X) world. If we were to be hit with a EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) and all microprocessors were rendered useless, how would time be kept? Most of our watches are digital – gone! Cell phones – gone! Digital radio alarm clock – gone! Car radio clock – gone! Possibly even battery run clock, if the EMP was a bad one – gone! Nearly all the old clock towers are gone.
So, the only clocks we would have would be wind up, old fashioned pendulum and the like. Do you have an old cuckoo clock or a grandfather clock?  Many of them, unless they are antique, run on batteries. Would time stop, ha ha, No! We would adapt but time may be kept by official time-keepers again as in days of old. Much of that old technology would have to be brought back or re-invented because so much has been lost.

Now consider this. Most agree small communities would band together to protect themselves and they would have to establish an armed watch. How is that armed watch going to know what time it is? I say all that to say this, maybe we should prepare to keep time in a post electronic world.

Some clocks should be protected by your Faraday cage. Battery operated should be fine after the electromagnetic storm is over. It is possible that it could be a solar event and could happen again at least once after the first time. So, when would you bring your stuff out of the Faraday cage?

I think the safest sure bet for most people is going to be a wind up clock. Or, several wind up clocks. Remember pocket watches, those might be good too. Are you preparing for your community? Maybe a dozen wind up clocks and a dozen pocket watches to make sure all the guards have a way to keep time when they need it.

I know my watch would be dead in this SitX too. I’d miss it.

So, I Eat Weeds

July 6, 2012

Yes, you read that right, I eat weeds. My current favorite is dandelion. I have a patch growing in the shade that doesn’t get as bitter as most and love to cut the tender young leaves up, after blanching, into some scrambled eggs or other potherb batch I’ve got going. I’ve been growing some pellitory too. Watching it grow through the year for positive identification. I’m about to try a little of it also. They say it may cause allergic reaction, so I want to try just a little at first.

I have found where a neighbor tosses her old horse waste. She’s been doing it for years and I have harvested some great compost from the piles left a year or so ago. I made a new flower bed but didn’t get it finished in time for the summer heat. I plan to use it for winter squash. Well, a blessing has come up and doing quite well in the bed, amaranth. It’s just a couple of weeks old but looks like a leaf kind instead of a grain kind of amaranth. I’m going to harvest some soon, I’ll let you know how it is.

The real reason I’m sharing this with you is to simply suggest that you too should investigate the edible weeds in your area. I bet there are some nearby that are delicious. Many of the wild things are even more nutritious than the grown for produce stuff. Like purslane for instance.  The Portulaca oleracea has omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin A, B, C and E, beta carotene, magnesium, calcium, potassium, folate, lithium, iron and is 2.5% protein. Beat that in your local grocery.

There are a lot of places on the internet to check out and learn about your local weeds as a food source. You never know when you might need them. One of my favorites is
Greene Dean has done a wonderful job on his site too, it has loads of information.

I recommend you find someone in your local area that forages. Check your local extension service.

I thank you for visiting and hope you too eat weeds and enjoy them.

Blessings to You!

Happy Independence Day

July 4, 2012

These United States were founded on Independence and Liberty. I’m thankful to be born in this country and in this time. I believe it is time of great history for all humans and an incredible time to be alive. As a Christian and one that has studied Eschatology (the study of the last times, roughly) I believe that this is a time where prophecy meets the daily news and just perhaps may culminate in apocalyptic events for the planet Earth. Of course, I could be totally off. What do you think?

On another matter, a friend of mine has been blogging for a lot longer than I and has a wonderful blog at Prepared Christian.
Check out his post for this Independence Day, A Short Prepper Civics Lesson.

Blessings to you all.
May the Source be with You!
