About

I am The Prepper Chaplain! Rev. Dr. James T. Moore if you’re into labels.
I prefer Brother Jim, or BroJim as some have come to call me.

My experiences as a Chaplain consist of a wide variety of exploits as a full time Chaplain at a Psychiatric Hospital for a few years, some wonderful opportunities as a Hospice Chaplain, some great Hospital Chaplain experience and much independent work with several disasters in shelters and on site.

I’ve trained as a Crisis Chaplain with FEMA Training, Citizen’s Fire Academy Training, Critical Incident Stress Management, Emotional Freedom Technique and Hypnosis.

My prepping life started several years ago before I knew what a prepper was. I was spending time with Papa one day (my affectionate name for God. I’m a Christian) and He expressed strongly on me something I thought was very strange. I later asked a Pastor friend, “if we believe in the rapture of the Church before a time of tribulation, why aren’t we setting up storehouses stocked with food, supplies and Bibles for those left behind?” He was probably more shocked than I was, bless his heart. I think it was then that a concept of being more prepared came into my line of view.

As a Chaplain I trained to minister to many Faiths, accepting each person as an individual and not judging their relationship with God or whatever they prefer to call my Papa (He can handle it, whatever). With that freedom He has allowed me many liberties to study other religions and faiths as it relates to physical healing, mental healing and spiritual healing. While I still maintain my own individual Christian belief system, I honor all those on a path to find higher meaning in their lives that still respect others on their particular path.

It’s within this framework that I offer this web site, my services along with my diverse training and experiences to others on a path of preparing for whatever may befall our fragile human experience. I want to share experiences I’ve had prepping and hopefully review some products I’ve found useful. Sometimes I may help a fellow prepper out by recommedning their site. I imagine I’ll advertise some of the places I buy things from to better facilitate you prepping.

So, Brother Jim, what’s this JTHTTK thing you’re logged in as? That is something I adopted many years ago when email came along. It’s based of a Scipture in the Bible, Romans 8:14-17 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” JTHTTK = James Thomas, my name, Heir To The Kingdom, my place in world. Now that’s not some prideful thing but just something between me and Papa really.

I thank you for visiting this site. I appreciate your time.

Blessings to you and if there is Anything I can do along your Prepper Journey, please email me or contact me, see my Contact page for details.
